MY QUEST FOR HEALTHY SKIN
About 3 years ago I decided I would start making my own skin care because like with most everything these days, (products, food, just about anything we can get our hands on) are plum full of fillers, additives, preservatives, and many other chemicals that can, and usually negate the goodness of what the product is supposed to do for us.
While I enjoy seeing commercials with young, beautiful women that have youthful skin, in reality, that is not the case with most of us, as time ages us. We have a short period of time that we don't have to worry about aging, so why not start now, while the clock is still working and if we already have unsightly spots, wrinkles or just plain bad skin, let's start reversing it while we still can. I am living proof that can be done. I look better at almost 60 than I did when I was 53 and you have my untouched photos to show for it. It happened to pop up on my Facebook page in March this year as a 7 year old photo of me to the day, and I thought what would it hurt to take a picture of myself to see how different I looked and how I aged. I knew I had been using my cream for a little over two years, but was actually shocked to see that my skin looked better older, than it did when I was 7 years younger. I had been playing with a formula for a few years, but wasn't happy with the texture even though I was still using it on myself. I have since added two new oils to my formula that now total 13 ingredients. All of my ingredients are from nature; all are from Africa, Brazil, Australia and beeswax from the US. These ingredients have the equivalent of our Good House Keeping Seal and are Fair Market Trade for workers employed obtaining these amazing wonders from mother nature. Thousands of years ago, we marveled at the technology and how the ancients did brain surgery with plants and herbs, how they lived and thrived; until the new and "improved" pharmaceutical companies came in and made everything that was good "synthetic" and watered down. My "quest" if you will, for the last 20 plus years has been to go back to getting the real benefits from the plants, vegetables and oils that we are supposed to, and helping my body to utilize them while targeting specific areas that my body needs to thrive. Skin is the largest organ we own, and with auto-immune disease, it is easy to break down skin.
My personal walk with skin comes with: A genetic predisposition to skin cancer (which included trips to the dermatologist to have pre-cancer cells frozen off my face), severe sun damage, a host of free radicals (from environmental and foods), and an auto-immune disease that I have had for 45 years that has always been a thron in my side both inside and out. I believe 100% in using the very best ingredients in everything we do to maximize whatever it is we are doing whether it be cooking, painting, building something or making something for health. Quality of our tools, and our products are going to help us become our best.
The ingredients I have chosen are ingredients that are reparative and hydrate down to a cellular level. Many of these are said to have cancer fighting agents in them, and of that I have no doubt because for me, I will have several clear weeks and then I might have a spot or two on my face for a day or two that resemble rosacea, and then poof, it is gone. What it did is the cream pulled out the toxins in my skin, brought them out to the surface, and they left the skin. My skin is clearly in much better shape than it was years ago and had I not been using my skin cream, I never would have noticed, just aged more. I wanted to showcase how quickly you can see results, so I put it on my right hand only for one month (I actually have each week photo if anyone wants to see them) and left my left hand alone. There is a vast difference between the two hands, and you may have to look close and even count wrinkles, but remember, this was just in 30 days. The only oversite I did however, was being left handed, I use my left hand to pull out the cream, so some of it always got on my left finger. You can still see a huge difference. I use my cream in the morning when I start the day, and at night before I go to bed. The beeswax is a marvelous product because while it is something that keeps in the moisture, it does not clog the pores. Win Win.
This is non gender specific, so it can be used on all external skin and can be your very own fountain of youth. The cream also has a sensitive formulation for those of you who think you might not be able to handle full strength and I have an extra dry formulation for those of you who have anything that might resemble exzema and psoriasis.
As with anything we use, it is recommended to apply to a small area on your hand to check for allergies. If any suspicion of an allergic reaction occurs, discontinue use and if necessary, consult your physician.
It is not unusual for me to get blotchy, but again I have terrible skin. I am not allergic, but my face is always fighting itself while the skin cream is doing its' job repairing itself.
